Life is a beautiful adventure! I have discovered the more heart and energy you put into it, the more fun and excitement you get to enjoy. Outside of work I love nature hikes, walks and trips to Oregon's fantastic natural preserves — from the beach to the mountains and more. I love cooking for family, taking care of children, and thoroughly enjoy the simple things in life: books, board games, and helping the ones I care for most!

Zoom+ Smile — Dental Hygienist

March 2016 – January 2017

As the first dental office of the Zoom+care chain, our goal was to provide quick and easy on-demand dentistry. Patients could schedule a one-hour new-patient appointment with the hygienist for a comprehensive exam with the doctor, 4BW × 2PA x-rays, prophylaxis, fluoride varnish, and thorough OHI. We also offered one-hour periodontal therapy (scaling and root planing) with thorough periodontal education on managing the disease long term, and thirty-minute quick cleans after comprehensive exams. It was our mission to fully educate patients on their current dental condition and treatment-plan based on their needs. Many patients loved being able to schedule cleaning and cavity-repair appointments within the same day.

Portland Center of Cosmetic Dentistry — Dental Hygienist

August 2014 – November 2014

I was routinely called on to deal with the most difficult and highest-anxiety patients because of my positive nature and talent. Dr. Garcia, owner of PCCD, has practiced dentistry for 34 years and has a loyal clientele; however, many patients were unsatisfied with their previous hygienist. I made a significant difference in patient retention with my gentle touch and thorough oral hygiene instruction. Many patients asked for me specifically and exclusively on their next re-care appointment — they felt comfortable and finally in the right hands. With renewed confidence, I was often able to encourage them to continue with Dr. Garcia's treatment plans, improving his restorative production.

Optima Dental — Dental Hygienist

May 2014 – July 2014

Optima Dental is a high-patient-volume private cosmetic and advanced implant practice, where patient satisfaction and step-by-step treatment-plan implementation begin and end with owners Dr. Mo Saleh and Dr. Rima Shaer's main goal: "Your Smile, Our Passion." The team works well together and I expanded my skills using the most advanced dental technology available — CT scanners, Cavitrons, intra-oral photography, Dexis digital x-rays, and Dentrix digital software. I worked in two locations for Optima Dental, four with Gentle Dental, and one other private practice — this combined experience has prepared me for my next dental hygiene opportunity.

Gentle Dental — Dental Hygienist

June 2013 – April 2014

I was a standout hygienist at Gentle Dental, a high-paced, double-booked hygiene office. My ability to learn quickly and adapt to different doctors made me the choice for mobility, working in five different locations and filling in as necessary on top of my own regular schedule. This furthered my education as I worked well with both traditional films and paper charting and modern digital systems. My personal touch and education-sharing approach had patients asking for me by name, and on multiple occasions I treated patients other doctors could not, due to severe dental anxiety — which made me the dentist's favorite choice to work with.
